The Chanel Home of Compassion was opened in 1952 for the nursing care of the frail elderly. Today the Home has the nursing capacity for 22 residents. Locally trained nurses and volunteers work with the Sisters to give nursing care and love to the residents at the Home. The residents reflect the multicultural nature of the Home with elderly people from a variety of backgrounds and creeds. Several groups give their time voluntarily to the Home both by sharing time with the residents and working in the grounds.
The Home has an annual Bazaar and Golf Tournament to raise funds and relies on donations and a Ministry of Health Grant for its operational costs.
To those who extend their generosity to us, a very sincere thank you.
VINAKA VAKA LEVU! May God bless you abundantly!
