Sisters Rae and Margaret Anne had an enjoyable holiday at Ohope Beach over the Christmas/New Year period. They stayed at Christine and Kevin Allan’s home while they were on holiday. After the New Year Mass at St Peter Chanel’s Church in Whakatane they enjoyed a cheerful conversation with Mrs van Boheemen and other members of the Catholic Women’s League and St Vincent de Paul Society. In Ohope they visited Lorna and Rink Scholtens who have been Friends of Compassion for a number of years. Lorna shared with us that she grew up in the same area, Paeroa, as our late Sister Jude Murray and that they had been good friends.
