Prayer and Spirituality
Prayer is important in our lives as Sisters of Compassion, so as to keep us in touch with God to whom we have consecrated our whole lives. As an active religious Congregation devoted to serving the underprivileged, our lives must combine those of Martha and Mary, the friends of Jesus, by inter-relating a life of prayer with that of action.
In the Directory, Suzanne Aubert tells us: [Dir. 346:1a]
The first thoughts of the day should be reserved for God, and
afterwards, let us do all for God in the service of His suffering
and abandoned members.
