Sr Laboure Butler
 Painting is my hobby.
I enjoy the peace after a busy life as a Sister of Compassion.
For over fifty years I have cooked and nursed
and looked after children and babies.
Always in my heart I wanted to paint
and now in my retiring years I have lots of opportunities
to spend time painting.
I live in Hiruharama/Jerusalem Whanganui River
- a haven for artists because of the beauty of the landscape.
I have worked and lived in many places
in New Zealand and Australia
and I love the peaceful atmosphere of Jerusalem.
I have been living here for 9 years.
